Reflection: 

Jesus willingly submitted to his death on the cross so that we can be saved.  On the cross He poured out his blood, and his life.  The cross is a sign of God’s great love for each and every one of us.

Prayer:

Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for me.  The cross is a sign of God’s love for us – may I see it always in this light … that you love me so much that You died for me so that I can be saved and have eternal life when I die.
